Maine Historical Society invites you to two Christmas events…
Children’s Activities at the Longfellow HouseSaturday, December 13, 10am-1pmA
Longfellow Family ChristmasEnjoy a special family tour of the Longfellow House, decorated to reflect an authentic 19th-century Christmas. Then, create a period-style ornament to take home, and enjoy an old-fashioned tree-trimming party, complete with carols and refreshments.
Registration and pre-payment required, call 207-774-1822.
Fee: $7.00 per child, one adult free per child.
Each additional adult $8.00.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Recommended for ages 5-12.

Daily, December 1- December 30Noon-5pm (last tour at 4pm)

Longfellow House Tours, Children’s Activities, Holiday Book & Gift Fair


Tour the Longfellow House this December and experience a traditional Christmas of the 1850s. Warm quilts adorn the beds, children’s games and other toys entertain, evergreens and ivy deck the halls, and a dinner of oysters, roast turkey and plum pudding awaits the Wadsworth Longfellow family and their friends this winter holiday.

Following the tour, you’re invited next door to enjoy Children’s Activities, our annual Holiday Book & Gift Fair, and to view the MHS Museum exhibit, Art of the People: Folk Art in Maine.
Admission: Adults $8.00; Children 5-17$3.00; Members Free
